A broad array of employers across virtually every industry make Lafayette a wonderland of possibility. Exempla/Kaiser and GE Dharmacon lead the way in healthcare and medical research, and companies like Rocky Mountain Instruments push the edges of technology. Lafayette is one of the few places that can claim to have it all—and back it up. At just 21 miles from Denver and 11 miles from Boulder, the city has both a small town feel and big city amenities. The Denver International Airport is only a few miles further, putting most of America just a short flight away. Rolling plains to the east, the Rocky Mountains to the west, and you smack dab in the middle.

There’s so much to do here I don’t ever want to leave, but when I want to get to Denver, it’s an easy drive. I can’t imagine being anywhere else.
I moved a few years ago and I’ve never looked back. There’s always something to do, so I never feel bored.
Lafayette isn’t the first place you’d think of for an active outdoor lifestyle, but it’s surprisingly easy to get out and around—from the lake to the trails and parks.
